| CELL PHONE WAITING LOT ADDS CUSTOMER CONVENIENCE |
| The Cell Phone Waiting Lot offers customers a place to park and wait for their party to arrive. Located on the south side of the terminal loop road, the Cell Phone Waiting Lot enables motorists to temporarily park free of charge until friends, family members or business associates have deplaned, collected baggage and called to be picked up curbside. To access this new area upon entering the airport from either the intersection of Plumb Lane and Terminal, or from Highway 395, vehicles should travel in the far right lane, and make a right turn into the Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Signage will be posted to clearly mark the area. There is no charge for parking and waiting in the lot, however, customers must remain with vehicle until their party calls to indicate they have arrived. For customers who do not own a cell phone, a couresty house phone is being installed in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot so that customers can have their party paged inside the terminal building. Please be advised that: The inner lanes closet to the terminal building are closed due to construction. Vehicles may drive in the three lanes closest to the parking garage, but may not park and wait curbside. This area is for immediate loading or unloading only. Do not leave your vehicle unattended for any reason. Unattended vehicles will be towed immediately. Airport safety regulations are strictly enforced. Posted: Feb 26, 2008 |
| INCREASED SECURITY MEASURES AT RENO-TAHOE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT |
| Please be aware of the following security directives currently imposed by the Transportation Security Administration. *Please keep in mind that these security directives are subject to change without notice. For the most current and up-to-date information, the Airport Authority recommends logging on to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) website at www.tsa.gov. As per the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations, travelers are allowed to carry travel-size toiletries (3 ounce or less) that MUST fit in ONE quart-size, clear plastic, resealable zip-top bag through security checkpoints; ONE bag per passenger. Travelers may also bring items, including beverages, purchased in the secure, boarding area on-board the aircraft. Larger amounts of prescription liquid medications, baby formula and diabetic glucose treatments must be declared at the checkpoint for additional screening. All shoes must be removed before passing through the security checkpoint. Shoes will be screened along with other carry-on items at the checkpoint prior to boarding flights. The above regulations are in the interest of passenger safety and security and apply to all passengers traveling out of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Please bare in mind that security measures for passengers traveling to international destinations or passing through airports overseas, may be subject to even stricter security measures. Passengers should arrive at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time for travel within the United States. For international travel, passengers should arrive at least 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time. Your patience and cooperation with these federally mandated procedures is appreciated.
