Building a new Gateway
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is launching the Gateway Project, a 17-month, $26 million construction program that will extend a Lake Tahoe theme throughout the first floor of the terminal building, while creating a single security checkpoint and dramatically improving the restaurants and stores. The Gateway Project will enhance the travel experience for 4 million people each year. It is supported by $6 million in private investment and will employ 275 construction workers.
When complete in April 2013, the Gateway Project will make the all important first and last impression on travelers.
