06-13-2016 – Public Comment Period for Amendment to RNO Land Use Plan

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is proposing changes to the adopted Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) Land Use Plan.

The primary purpose of the RNO Land Use Plan is to provide a plan upon which to base future development decisions while also preserving adequate land for existing and future airport operations and facilities. All land owned by the RTAA in proximity of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is identified in the RNO Land Use Plan.

The RTAA owns several buildings along Vassar Street, east of Terminal Way. The building located at 2750 Vassar Street is no longer needed for Airfield Support purposes. As a result, the building and some adjacent land have been recommended to transfer from Airfield Support use to Development Support use. A copy of the currently adopted RNO Land Use Plan and the proposed amendment can be downloaded at the airport website under the Airport Plans section.
