Master Plan Public Information Meetings

Public Information Meeting No. 4 (5/24/18)

The fourth and final public information meeting was held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.  During the 2.5 hour open house, Airport Authority and project consultant staff discussed the master plan project with members of the public in a casual environment. The primary focus of this meeting was to share the 20-year development concept, including short, mid, and long-term projects for a large standalone rental car facility, new concourse development, expanded terminal facilities, and airfield improvements among others.

Also presented was a financial analysis which identified the projected impacts to the airport’s financial structure and cost-competitive advantage which could result from the 20-year planned development.

In addition, the runway analysis, which determined that a longer runway is not a feasible project, was also shared.
