Here at RNO, we love to showcase the vibrant art culture in our region. From permanent installations and historical displays to captivating live performances and art exhibitions, we aim to make the travel experience more enjoyable and enriching. With over 4.5 million travelers passing through RNO each year, our airport is a unique location to share northern Nevada’s rich art scene with a diverse population.
depARTures Gallery and Performance Art
The Arts at the Airport program showcases both visual and performing arts to travelers year-round. The depARTures Gallery, located post-security in the Connector C Concourse, features rotating exhibitions every 3-4 months from local and regional organizations and artist collectives. The gallery is complemented by live performances held near the iconic “Giant Slalom” bronze sculpture in the ticketing hall. These performances feature a wide range of talent, from cultural dances and traditional music to acapella singing and bands, offering a diverse experience to the public.
depARTures Gallery and Performance Art FAQs
What are the content expectations for exhibitions and performances?

Photos and videos of exhibitions and performances will be used to promote and market the Arts at the Airport program.
Who can display an exhibition?

Who can perform at RNO?
RNO invites both individual performing artists and performance groups to perform at the airport.
What are the installation expectations?
Exhibitions rotate quarterly. Artwork will not be displayed on a permanent basis. Exhibitors are responsible for hanging and removing artwork based on contract dates.
Public Art
RNO’s public art presence is set to grow significantly in the coming years as part of major airport construction projects. Funding for public art will derive from the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority’s public art program, Arts at the Airport. New art installations throughout the terminal and surrounding area will be carefully curated to showcase the creative spirit of northern Nevada.
