The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects travel volumes at nearly 6% above 2023 this spring break and has some important travel tips of their own, to ensure a seamless security process.

450 Feet of Art Touches Down at RNO

Materials arrived in four colossal crates, weighing over 1,300 pounds collectively.

It’s a monumental undertaking, and the airport is buzzing with anticipation as the installation takes flight in the Ticketing Hall. Renowned artist Dixie Friend Gay, who has 20 years of experience creating awe-inspiring public art, was commissioned for this unique project she titled “Repeated Refrains”.

Ticketing Hall Grand Opening on the Horizon

In just over a year of construction, the Ticketing Hall Expansion project is set to be complete on-time and on-budget. Opening this April, the Ticketing Hall will be transforming the travel experience the moment passengers walk into RNO, with new amenities, upgraded technology, modern architecture, art, additional space, and more!

Indulge your taste buds with a shoutout to local Chef Chris Lott joining the Smith and River team with Chef Colin Smith. Chef Smith is the owner-chef of Smith and River and the Roundabout Catering Family and also the consulting chef at RNO’s Escape Lounge, bringing in local flavor to the airport. Chef Smith said, “we’re excited to have him step into this role as executive chef to elevate our philosophy of culinary excellence.”

Now Approaching

Airport Loop Road Changes: The inner driving lane construction, closest to the main entrance, will be complete mid-April, moving construction to the outer driving lanes, closest to the parking garage. Travelers will once again have the convenience of being dropped-off and picked-up closer to the Main Terminal Building.
