NEWSLETTER – Nonstops to Nashville Coming in Oct. 2026
Nashville Goes Nonstop When it comes to flying from RNO, Nashville is already on the map, but in Oct. 2026, getting […]
Construction near the airport terminal is affecting traffic patterns on the north and south ends of the Loop Road. Use caution through lane reductions and adjustments to the pedestrian walkways. Please watch your step and drive slowly.
Passengers may hear noise and feel vibrations from concrete demolition activity near the B gates.
The MoreRNO Program has entered the next phase of construction. Four projects are underway, the new concourses A and B (NewGen A&B), Central Utility Plant (CUP), Police and Airport Authority Headquarters (HQ) and Ground Transportation Center (GTC), and the bulk of construction will land within the next two years. This is the largest infrastructure investment in the airport’s history. MoreRNO will bring more of what travelers love, including greater convenience, more amenities, local bites and brands, and spaces that showcase art and the natural beauty of Reno-Tahoe. For project timelines and details, visit the program overview page
Active construction is taking place outside Concourse B on the ground floor. Most of the passenger experience will remain the same, but some may hear concrete demolition activity and feel vibrations at the B gates.
Looking for a quieter space before boarding begins?
The concrete demolition is expected to continue through spring 2026.
Current Lane Closures
Traffic patterns on the airport Loop Road are impacted by construction for the new Central Utility Plant, Police and RTAA Headquarters and Ground Transportation Center. Please slowdown in construction zones, watch for construction crews and vehicles and follow signs.
Access to the parking garage remains open. However, some designated overflow lots near the airport terminal have permanently moved. Please follow signs and directions from airport parking staff. Allow extra time to navigate overflow parking.
Passenger access to ground transportation is not affected. Rideshares, taxis, shuttles and other operators will continue to pick up outside Baggage Claim Door D during construction.
The pedestrian walkway on the north side of the airport Loop Road is impacted by construction. A designated path will be provided through the construction area. Please follow signs and watch your step.
There are multiple projects happening now including the new concourses (NewGen A&B), Central Utility Plant (CUP), Police and RTAA Headquarters building (HQ) and Ground Transportation Center (GTC). All projects will be completed by 2028, with the exception of the new concourse B which will wrap up in 2029. Learn more about the timeline and each project here.
