Inclusivity Matters

Adventure Knows No Bounds

RNO works diligently to be in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2010 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504).

If you are a person with disabilities, please don’t hesitate to request reasonable accommodations by contacting your airline or RTAA’s ADA Compliance Officer directly for any of your airline or airport facility-related needs.

Amenities

People First, Always

Welcome to RNO! We’re excited to introduce you to this wonderful region and all that it has to offer. Explore the different amenities available below and please reach out if you have any questions or suggestions to better our services.

Traveling with Your Own Wheelchair or Mobility Device?

If you’re a passenger with a disability traveling with a mobility device, we encourage you to check directly with your airline as wheelchair service at RNO is provided by each airline individually and can vary depending on which airline you’re flying with.

Make requests ahead of travel by dialing the numbers below or visit your airline’s ticket counter upon check-in.

If needed, there will be a wheelchair service representative to assist our passengers to their flight gate. Should a guest (non-passenger) wish to escort or assist their loved one to the gate, the guest will need to get a “gate/escort pass” from the airline ticket counter. Passes are provided by the airline as long as you have a government-issued photo ID. Wheelchair Assistance and Mobility Offices are located between the Delta and American curbside drop-off areas.

Please note: Vehicles are not permitted to be left unattended at the curbside.

RNO Provided Wheelchairs & Mobility Devices

RNO wheelchairs are available for all passengers free of charge and are located outside along the ticketing curb. Friends and family are allowed to push wheelchairs through the terminals, but please see rules regarding Non-Passenger Escort Passes.

Bark Parks, Service Animal Relief Areas & More

RNO welcomes both service animals and pet passengers with the amenities they need to feel safe and comfortable. Service animals should be properly identified to ensure proper care and amenities can be accessed. Learn more about what is considered a service animal under the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA).

Looking for a TTY/TDD Phone Location?

  • All TTY/TDD phone locations are ADA accessible and offer free local phone service to those who need hearing assistance.
  • There are three TTY/TDD phone locations at RNO. One is located pre-security in Baggage Claim near the restrooms across from carousel #5 and two are located post-security on each concourse —C Concourse near Gate C1 and B Concourse near Gate B2.

Find Accessible Parking

  • Accessible parking spaces are located directly west of the terminal building and are on each level of the parking garages. There are a total of 86 accessible parking spaces including 12 van-accessible parking spaces.
  • Accessible parking on the ground-floor parking garage (Short-Term Parking Garage) allows passengers to enter the terminal lobby by taking the crosswalk to the main entrance. Accessible parking on the second and third levels of the parking garage (Long-Term Parking) gives passengers convenient access to the skywalk that leads directly into the terminal.
  • Dropping off a passenger who needs a wheelchair? It’s important to note that someone must always remain with the vehicle when it’s at our front curb and guests must be actively loading or unloading their vehicle while at the curb. If you need to help the traveler get wheelchair assistance, we recommend parking your vehicle in our parking garage and then helping your party to their airline check-in counter, where a wheelchair service representative can assist you.

Picking Up or Dropping Off a Friend or Loved One?

  • There are two designated areas for drop-off and pick-up at the curbside for passengers with disabilities or impairments. One is south of the skywalk, and the other is just north of the skywalk.
  • Dropping off a passenger who needs a wheelchair? Please note, that someone must always remain with the vehicle and guests must be actively loading or unloading their vehicle while at the curb. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended. If you need to help the traveler get wheelchair assistance, we recommend parking your vehicle in the garage and helping your party to the airline check-in counter. You can schedule assistance in advance with your airline.

Locate Accessible Restrooms

All restrooms at RNO are wheelchair accessible. There are also three family restrooms in the terminal building for our passengers’ convenience: one is located pre-security near the PGA Tour Golf Shop in the main lobby and two are located post-security on each concourse. Please reach out to an RTAA staff member for further assistance as needed.
