Civil Rights Policies and Procedures

It is the policy of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority to fully comply with all federal and state civil rights laws, regulations and procedures.

Nondiscrimination Statement

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA), the owner operator of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), is committed to a policy of non-discrimination in the conduct of its business, including its Title VI responsibilities, and to the delivery of equitable and accessible airport services. RTAA recognizes its responsibilities to the communities in which it operates and to the society it serves.

It is the policy of RNO that no person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in the receipt of its services on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, or disability, or any other federally protected category as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended. If you believe that you have been excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion or disability, you may file a complaint with RNO’s Title VI/§504 Administrator, within 180 days of the date of the alleged discrimination, in accordance with RNO’s Title VI Complaint Procedures.

Title VI Complaint Procedure and Instructions

RNO has established, pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Complaint Procedures to be used by persons who allege a complaint of a violation of Title VI: If you believe that you have been excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of or subjected to discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, creed or disability in the receipt of the Airport’s services or related benefits.
