What You Need to Know

Passenger Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Passenger drop-off is at the front curb of ticketing and baggage claim. The curb is for immediate loading or unloading only and vehicles are not permitted to park and wait along the curb or be left unattended.

Passenger pick-up is on the outer curb of the loop road (nearest to the parking garage). This area is also for immediate loading or unloading only. The Free Waiting Lot is the best option when waiting to pick up arriving passengers. It is less than 3 minutes from the front curb and, with parking in high demand, this can help you avoid circling on airport roadways.

Unattended vehicles parked along the curbs may be cited, towed, and/or subject to search by Airport Police. Airport safety regulations are strictly enforced.

Where Should You Wait?

Free Waiting Lot

Dropping off or picking up your loved ones from the airport has never been easier. RNO has a free, 24-hour Waiting Lot where motorists meeting arriving passengers can wait until passengers call to say they are ready to be picked up at the outer curb.

When using the Free Waiting Lot, vehicles must be attended at all times. No commercial vehicles or ride-service vehicles allowed.

If your party needs to retrieve checked luggage, Reno-Tahoe International Airport suggests they wait to call you until after they have their luggage in their possession, since waiting is not permitted at the outer curb.

Guests can also park in the short-term garage and enter the terminal to greet their loved ones.
