Get Real-Time Parking Updates
Color-coded numbers show parking availability, similar to a stoplight: green means plenty of spots, yellow means spaces are limited, and red means few or no spots are available.
How Airport Parking Works
Parking fills quickly, especially during busy travel times. Use the real-time parking tool to check availability, and if lots are full, you may be directed to overflow parking.
To make your trip as easy as possible, we recommend reserving early, arriving early or taking a rideshare, taxi or other transportation option to RNO. When in doubt, catch a ride.
Reserve parking when booking flights
Reserve parking when you book your flight and secure your spot in advance.
During busy travel times, both reserved spaces and first-come, first served spots in the Long-Term Garage can fill up quickly. Using our parking reservation tool and booking early is the best way to guarantee convenient parking and avoid being directed to surface lots or overflow lots further from the terminal.
Understanding “Full” or “RES*”
Use our real-time parking availability feature to see how many spaces are open in each parking option. Parking can fill up very quickly, with hundreds of spaces taken in as little as 20 minutes. (One 757 flight carries about 200 passengers.)
When the Long-Term Garage reaches capacity, it switches to reservation only “RES*”. Only passengers with pre-booked parking reservations can enter into the garage.
If all parking options show “Full,” you will be directed to overflow parking.
Arrive early, even for reservations
Give yourself extra time for parking before your flight. Parking demand remains high, and it can take time to navigate to available parking areas, find a space and make your way to the terminal.
If you do not have a parking reservation, we recommend allowing at least 30 extra minutes for parking before proceeding to check-in and security. Even if you have a reservation in the Long-Term Garage, additional time may be needed to locate an available reserved space.
Overflow parking is used frequently. If on-airport parking reaches capacity, you’ll be directed to an overflow lot where shuttle service runs every 15 minutes to and from the terminal.
Catch a Ride to RNO
Parking is in high demand, and passengers are often directed to overflow lots. If you want to avoid overflow and have not reserved a space in the Long-Term Garage, we recommend taking a rideshare, taxi, or other transportation option to the airport.in
