UPDATE – September Flight Schedule
September flight schedule, destinations and flight frequency, at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). Flights are subject to change at the discretion of the air carrier.
From late August through Labor Day, RNO sees one of its busiest weeks of the year, and it’s all thanks to Burning Man. Tens of thousands of Burners pass through, which is why airlines add special flights, including extra service to Los Angeles, San Diego and Newark, N.J.
Our tips for traveling during this time:
You don’t need to go far to time travel—just head toward baggage claim. That’s where a stunning 1926 Ford Model T from the National Automobile Museum will be waiting for you. Take a few minutes to dress up and snap a few photos before you head on your way.
Skip the parking lot and save a few bucks when you take a rideshare to the airport. No circling for spots—just pull up, grab your bags and head to your gate.
Starting Oct. 4, Alaska Airlines returns with nonstop flights to San Diego, Calif. Skip the layover and keep the summer spirit alive with the city’s beachy sunsets, great surf and seaside eats.
If you’re chasing those classic fall colors and don’t mind sweater weather, consider other nonstop destinations from RNO, including Portland, Ore. or Seattle, Wash.
Please note: All flight schedules are subject to change.
