MEDIA ALERT – Reno-Tahoe International Airport to Host 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony with Honor Flight Nevada

RENO, Nev. (Sept. 10, 2025) – Honor Flight Nevada and Reno-Tahoe International Airport will hold a brief ceremony on September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed America and aviation. The gathering will bring together veterans, first responders, airport personnel and community members for a moment of reflection and unity, honoring the lives lost and those who have continued to serve. 

Who:  Reflection led by Chaplain, Jerome Washington, Army combat veteran 

  Remarks by Daren Griffin, President/CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority 

  Patriotic performance by Juliette Leong, 8-year-old violin prodigy  

Where: Reno-Tahoe International Airport 

 Main Terminal Lobby — Ski Statue 

When:  Thursday, September 11, 2025 

6:00 – 6:30 a.m.
