MEDIA ALERT – Reno-Tahoe International Airport has Spirit, Yes We Do

(RENO, NV) – We’ve got Spirit, how about you? Join Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve and officials from Spirit Airlines and the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority as we welcome the inaugural flight of Spirit at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). Beginning Wednesday, August 10, the latest air carrier to join our airport family will offer twice daily service from RNO to Harry Reid International Airport.

What:      To celebrate this new air service, media is invited to join us for a very visual event, including a water arch as the first Spirit flight lands at RNO, a check presentation to a local non-profit and more.

Where:   Reno-Tahoe International Airport, ski statue

When:     Wednesday, August 10, 2022

                 12:30 p.m. (the flight is scheduled to land at 1:03 p.m.)

*NEWS MEDIA – Please meet at the ski statue in the main lobby of the terminal building by 12:30 PM if you wish to film the water arch on the airfield.

To mark the new service, Spirit is hosting a Las Vegas Flyaway for Reno Guests. One lucky winner will get a pair of tickets to fly on Spirit’s new, nonstop route to Las Vegas, including complimentary roundtrip airfare, bags, seat selection and Shortcut Boarding. Winners will also enjoy a three-night stay at Treasure Island and a pair of tickets to Mystère by Cirque du Soleil, provided in partnership with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
