What:     Santa, his elves and Mrs. Claus will bring Christmas joy to 25 Children’s Cabinet families this Saturday during a unique holiday event called Operation Santa Claus.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a Nevada Air National Guard C-130 and will taxi to a hangar at Atlantic Aviation on the airport’s east side. They will be greeted by Children’s Cabinet families, volunteers and supporters.

Operation Santa Claus, now in its 8th year, is a collaborative effort between Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) and Reno-Tahoe Aviation Group with the support of Atlantic Aviation and numerous local businesses and individuals to make Christmas magical for families who wouldn’t otherwise have the resources to celebrate the holidays.

Due to possible inclement weather projected and for the safety of the pilots, The C-130 will be the only aircraft operating during Operation Santa Claus this year. The approximate 20 aircraft that typically participate in this event will not be operating this year due to the weather. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for this semi-outdoor event.

When:    11:00a.m. – 1:00p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022

Where:   Atlantic Aviation – 655 S. Rock Blvd. (See map attached)

This event is not open to the general public. However, if you would like to assist with this program, cash donations can be made directly to The Children’s Cabinet in the name of Operation Santa Claus at https://www.childrenscabinet.org/support/donate/ or contact Kristen Loebbecke at 775-856-0103 or kloebbecke@childrenscabinet.org.
