Reno, Nev. (September 22, 2023) – Thanks to northern Nevada’s continued growth with the influx of residents and companies, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) welcomes a new carrier to our market, offering nonstop service twice a week to Ontario, Calif. on New Pacific Airlines. “We are happy to share that a new carrier is entering our market,” said Tina Iftiger, Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) Chief Air Service Development Officer.

Flights are on sale now and will take off in November.

With the rapid influx of residents and economic expansion, there is a renewed focus on air service development at RNO. The RTAA is committed to retaining and growing its current service while also giving the community more options by expanding to new destinations.

“Our approved $1 billion dollar investment in airport infrastructure, known as MoreRNO, is coming at the perfect time to support the community and will provide decades of capacity to meet the needs of the growing region,” said Daren Griffin, president and CEO of the RTAA.

Rob McKinney, CEO of New Pacific Airlines, conveyed his excitement about this significant milestone, remarking, “This marks an exciting period of growth for New Pacific. Providing service between Ontario and Reno is a major stride in our commitment to offering outstanding travel experiences to passengers throughout the United States. The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) operates two of the most important economic drivers for our region–the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) and the Reno-Stead Airport (RTS). The RTAA is financially self-sufficient, meaning it is funded through airport operations and not state or local taxes. Eleven airlines serve RNO, flying to multiple nonstop destinations throughout the United States and Mexico. For more details, visit www.renoairport.com.
