RENO, Nev. – Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) today announced United Airlines has expanded its service between RNO and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to daily, year-round nonstop service.

“Working together with our partners at United we are advancing air travel from Reno to Houston and beyond,” said Marily Mora, the president and CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. “United’s new daily, year-round service is due to our strong customer demand for nonstop service to Houston as well as the financial support and commitment of our community partners, specifically the Regional Air Service Corporation, the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and Travel Nevada.”

The expanded service will be operated by United Express on an Embraer 175 aircraft with 76 seats. It’s scheduled to depart Houston at 7:40 p.m. Central Time and arrive RNO at 9:59 p.m. local. The flight will then depart RNO at 11:59 p.m. and arrive in Houston the next day, at 5:34 a.m.

Nicknamed Space City, Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States. It’s recognized for its energy industry, aeronautics and biometric research.  The daily Houston service will provide outstanding connections to the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, and the eastern United States.

The new flight is on sale today at www.united.com.  This month, the airline is set to add an additional 131 total roundtrip flights at RNO.
