RELEASE – Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Introduces New President/CEO

Griffin comes to the RTAA with a wide array of aviation experience. He worked for the Port of Portland since 2004 and served as the airport’s Director of Operations, as well as their General Aviation Manager. From 2000 to 2004, he was the State Airports Manager for the Oregon Department of Aviation. Prior to 16 years in Oregon, Griffin held the position of Deputy Director of Yuma International Airport in Arizona. Griffin is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1990, and was also a member of both the Arizona and Oregon National Guard. He is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida.

The RTAA Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Griffin to a five-year contract. He will be replacing Marily Mora, who is retiring after 19 years at the RTAA, seven as President/CEO.

Griffin’s selection completes a five-month national search that attracted candidates from around the nation.
