The Reno-Stead Airport (RTS) is a 5,000 acre general aviation facility, owned and operated by the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, that is quickly becoming a major economic hub in northern Nevada.

Food Bank’s Mobile Harvest program will be at the Stead Airport to distribute produce and other fresh food items to community members. All community members in need of food assistance are welcome to visit Mobile Harvest. There are no qualification requirements, and each household may pick up food from a Mobile Harvest distribution once per week.
Friday & Saturday, May 17th & 18th All Day
Stead Tenants ONLY, please bring your fire extinguisher(s) to the terminal building, Monday through Thursday leading up to those dates. The cost for inspections is $10, a Hydro will be $20. Please bring cash or a check made out to “Sierra Fire Protection”. Please make sure your extinguisher(s) are clearly marked with either the hangar number, address, or your last name. Saturday, May 25th 11:30am-1:00pm
The Reno-Stead Airport Assn’s 25th BBQ will be held Saturday, May 25th at the Stead Terminal building, all tenants and guests are welcome! They do ask that you RSVP through Bob McLaughlin: bobmclaughlin951@me.com, so they can get an approximate head count for how much food to provide. This is a chance to visit with fellow Stead tenants, hear more about upcoming projects from the Airport Manager and learn more about the Reno-Stead Airport Association and how to become a member, or simply to renew your membership, and of course ….enjoy some good BBQ!
