Travelers Should Plan Ahead for a Busy Holiday Weekend

RENO, Nev. (July 2, 2025) – Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is gearing up for a busy Fourth of July travel period and is encouraging passengers to plan ahead. Travel volumes are expected to match last year’s numbers, with the busiest days forecasted to be Sunday, July 6 and Monday, July 7, when the airport expects more than 16,000 total passengers each day. The surrounding travel days are also expected to be active but with daily averages of around 14,000 passengers.

Parking Reservations & Extended Rideshare Discount

  • With limited parking and peak summer travel, passengers are urged to reserve parking in advance at RenoAirport.com/parking. A reservation guarantees a spot, even if the garage closes to drive-up customers.
  • RNO is extending its discounted rideshare program through the summer. Travelers can use code RNOSummer25 to receive $5 off each ride to or from the airport, up to six times between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2025.
