MEDIA ALERT – Celebrate Nonstop Boise Service Nov. 5 on Alaska Airlines

What: Come join Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, as we celebrate a new nonstop flight to Boise, Idaho on Alaska Airlines with a fun-filled mascot battle between the Nevada Wolf Pack’s Wolfie and the infamous Buster Bronco from Boise State.

When: Thursday, Nov. 5 at 3:00 p.m.

Who: City of Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, University of Nevada’s Wolfie, and Boise State’s mascot, Buster Bronco, community and airport officials. We will celebrate great new air service with music, fun, food, dancing and a little help from two furry friends from two great universities.

Where: Reno-Tahoe International Airport main lobby, ski statue

Horizon Air, Alaska’s sister carrier, will fly the Reno/Boise route with a 76-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft. It will depart Reno at 4:35 p.m. and arrive in Boise at 6:55 p.m. It will depart Boise at 6:15 p.m. and arrive in Reno at 6:44 p.m. The Boise route also offers great connectivity to another popular market, Spokane, Washington; with only a half hour connect time.
