MEDIA ALERT – Santa, Mrs. Claus and 20 Airplanes Land at Reno-Tahoe International to Benefit The Children’s Cabinet

What:     Santa, his elves, Mrs. Claus and a parade of 20 aircraft will bring Christmas joy to 25 Children’s Cabinet families this Saturday during a unique holiday event called Operation Santa Claus.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a Nevada Air National Guard C-130.

The aircraft will land and taxi as one large squadron to a hangar at Atlantic Aviation on the airport’s east side.  They will be greeted by Children’s Cabinet families and hundreds of volunteers and supporters. Operation Santa Claus, now in its 7th year, is the brainchild of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) and Reno-Tahoe Aviation Group with the support of Atlantic Aviation and numerous local businesses and individuals.

Hundreds of volunteers including Wolf Pack football players and cheerleaders, Flips gymnasts, North Valleys High School JROTC, airline employees, Paws 4 Passengers and more.

Where:   Atlantic Aviation – 655 S. Rock Blvd. (See map attached.)

This event is not open to the general public.  However, if you would like to assist with this program, cash donations can be made directly to The Children’s Cabinet in the name of Operation Santa Claus.
