Delta Air Lines Service to Atlanta Set to Resume

Reno, Nev. (September 25, 2023) – Beginning June 2024, but available to book now, Delta Air Lines will offer nonstop service to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the busiest airport in the world, adding to Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s (RNO) travel options.

“Reno-Tahoe continues to shine as an outstanding outdoor leisure destination,” said Daren Griffin, president and CEO of Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Tina Iftiger, a longtime leader at the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, who was recently announced as the Chief Air Service Development Officer, added,

“Northern Nevada is also playing an increasingly important role in the electric vehicle ecosystem.”
The additional flights from RNO to a major connecting U.S. city will provide the convenience our community is accustomed to from the airport and solidify RNO as an economic driver for our region.

“By adding more service to Reno and delivering more ways to access sought-after destinations throughout the U.S. West, we’re more ready than ever to take our customers on their next great adventures – with the service, reliability and convenience they’ve come to know and expect when flying Delta,” said Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President, Network Planning for Delta Air Lines.

Boeing 757’s with 199-seats will be used between RNO and ATL and departure times are:

RNO – ATL
10:00 p.m. departure with a 5:45 a.m. arrival in Atlanta

ATL – RNO
7:05 p.m. departure with an 8:45 arrival in Reno

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) operates two of the most important economic drivers for our region–the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) and the Reno-Stead Airport (RTS). The RTAA is financially self-sufficient, meaning it is funded through airport operations and not state or local taxes. Eleven airlines serve RNO, flying to multiple nonstop destinations throughout the United States and Mexico. For more details, visit www.renoairport.com.
