Local Artists, Leave Your Mark

RTAA’s Arts at the Airport program is bringing bold, site-specific artwork to every corner of RNO. The Ticketing Hall already showcases the first stunning commission with more to come.

Now, we’re opening calls exclusively for local artists to create work for The HQ. Your artwork could become part of the airport’s permanent collection. Don’t miss your chance to leave your mark on our airport!

RNO Aces Squishy Plane

Catch a Plane at the Ballpark

Heads up, Aces fans: RNO is in the stands this season! Just before the 7th inning, keep your eyes peeled for the squishy airplane toss. It’s a fan-favorite moment for the kids and adults alike.

Bring the family, grab some snacks and see if you can snag a fun-sized memento. We will see you out at Greater Nevada Field.

Scheduled Drill at RNO

On Wednesday, May 13, you may notice flashing lights, emergency vehicles and increased activity south of the airport terminal. Don’t worry—there’s no emergency. It’s actually Operation Western Skies, a full-scale emergency exercise RNO conducts every three years with regional partners in order to stay prepared.

Expect visible activity along Terminal Way near Gentry Way between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Flights and airport operations continue as normal.

Vegas Is Still One Flight Away

We’re tipping our hats to Spirit’s unmistakable yellow fleet. Though their planes may be gone from our gates, there are still many options to fly to Las Vegas via Frontier, JSX or Southwest.
