RELEASE – Reno-Stead Airport Again Serves as Food Bank’s Mobile Harvest Food Distribution Site during COVID-19 Crisis

What: For the second time in two weeks, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN) will operate a Mobile Harvest food distribution site at Reno-Stead Airport (RTS) to support those affected by COVID-19.

In accordance with CDC guidelines for social distancing and hygiene, clients will pick-up a pre-packaged box with shelf-stable items and a bag of assorted fresh produce in a no-contact, drive-thru format.

When: Wednesday, April 22, 2020

Noon – 3:00 p.m.

(Please do not arrive earlier than one hour prior to start time.)

Where: Reno-Stead Airport

Outside Freedom Flight Terminal

4895 Texas Avenue, Reno

To maintain a touchless intake process, clients are asked to remain inside their vehicle and pay close attention to all signs, staff and volunteers.  Food will be placed directly inside the truck to limit exposure. For walk-up traffic, strict social distancing guidelines will be in place.
