RENO, Nev. – The Reno-Tahoe International Airport announces the depARTures Gallery’s newest exhibit, Moments of Memory. The featured artists are all patients at area memory care communities and the Moments program offers them creative art outlets in a safe, supportive environment for social interaction and self-expression.

The Moments of Memory program is a local non-profit that has operated for 10 years offering creative art expression for patients living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

Artists use paint, paper, cosmetics and other mediums. Craft items including twigs, feathers and fruit also highlight seasonal themes and provide the artists visual cues to various holidays.

This is the second time its artists have been featured in depARTures. The first exhibit was in 2010.

Passengers traveling through the airport will be able to enjoy this unique exhibit now on display through April 18, 2018. Unfortunately, due to security reasons, this exhibit is open only to ticketed passengers travelling through Reno-Tahoe International.
