Reno, Nev. – There’s a big anniversary at RNO this fall, and we LUV to celebrate air service. We want you to celebrate right along with us.

November 16, 2020 is Southwest Airlines’ 30th Anniversary serving the Reno-Tahoe community. They are nicknamed the LUV airline, and we love our long time relationship with Southwest. That’s why we are inviting our community to join us in a contest to win a $500 Southwest Airlines gift card, courtesy of Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO).

Here’s how to show Southwest your LUV for 30 years of happy landings at RNO.

What:              Get creative and think about your favorite trip on Southwest from RNO.

How:               In 300 words or less, tell us about it and why it was magical, unforgettable, inspiring or just plane fun. We’d love to have photos from the trip, too!

When:             October 21 – November 9, 2020 by 12:00 noon PST

Winner will be notified by November 12, 2020

Submit stories and photos to:

or to Facebook / Twitter / Instagram – #RNOLuvThatTrip @RenoAirport

Our panel of judges will select the winner who will be presented with the gift card on November 16.

But the LUV doesn’t stop there. Any entry we receive may be featured on our social media channels and selected to hang in one of RNO’s two art galleries through January 2021. Thousands of passengers will learn the story of what’s to LUV about that trip.

*Airport Authority and Reno-Tahoe International Airport employees and immediate family members (parent, spouse, sibling, child or anyone sharing the same residence as the employee) may not enter to win.
